Carroll College IMPACT Campaign
MEDIA: DESIGN + WEB DEVELOPMENT
DATE: JUNE 2019
CLIENT: CARROLL COLLEGE
The IMPACT Annual Fund is the primary annual fundraising effort of Carroll's Office of Institutional Advancement. As the 2018-2019 fiscal year wrapped up, the Advancement team realized they would be ending the year about $15,000 short. To bridge that gap, they decided to launch one final ten-day campaign through the end of June.
I was responsible for building a number of campaign elements: a series of five emails (the Advancement team uses MailChimp to run their email campaigns, so I built the emails out in HTML before finalizing them in the MailChimp dashboard) that ran before, during and after the campaign, and a series of social media graphics that were deployed across the school's accounts on all the major social media platforms. I was provided with a list of talking points and important dates and given access to the school's photography archive - otherwise everything else had to be generated by me.

Selection of square social media graphics created for the campaign - these designs were also built in horizontal and vertical aspect ratios (more social media graphics from this project can be found on Behance). I wanted the graphics to create a strong emotional response in viewers (hopefully encouraging them to click through to donate!), so I was careful to use images depicting students with big expressions of joy, disbelief, excitement, and gratitude.
For a very small private school in a relatively small Montana city, raising $15,000 in ten days is a challenging goal. The advancement office credited the social media and email campaign for playing a key role in the campaign's ultimate success.
I've included a few samples of the social media graphics that I designed and published, and an example of one of the emails that I built. More work from this project can be found on Behance.
